For those of you who struggle to understand the gist of A Course in Miracles, I would be amiss not to mention that one of the greatest gifts it’s writings have given me is the tools to release all of the ego-mind blocks that keep me from hearing and knowing the presence of Divine Love.
As a religion major, I studied the Bible inside and out. I treasure the Bible and especially gravitate toward the messages of love Jesus taught. For me, A Course in Miracles illuminates those messages and helps me to “get them” in a way I hadn’t been able to get before. Perhaps that’s simply because It helps me to get out of my own way when it comes to the insanity of my own mind!
I wanted to share that with you first, so you’ll be patient with yourself as you too come to learn to let your mind be still enough so that you can hear and feel the presence of 
in your own life. I’ve been working on clearing my own mind stuff and practicing being still enough to hear God speak for many, many years now….and I still get tripped up!! As Eckhart Tolle says, “The mind will take you on a wild river ride!” Oh that is so true!
With that said, I would like to invite you to walk with me again. Sometimes taking a walk and focusing on the senses for a while can help you get out of your mind and into being more present. As you walk, take some time to just focus on what you feel for a while. Focus on your breath moving in and out. Feel how good it feels to just breathe. For this time there is nothing to fix and nothing to do. Just enjoy breathing.
Then move your focus to something else you feel…perhaps there’s sunshine on your back or the feel of your feet meeting the earth beneath you. Just be and breathe and focus on physical sensations for a while. Let your sensations pull you into being present and let your mind be still.
It was on a walk such as this that the following Message of Love came to me. As usual, it just arrived. I was soaking in the warmth of the sun and savoring the beauty around me. My mind was still. And then spoke to me…
Remember, My Child
Do you remember?
All of this we made together in love.
Do you remember how excited you were at the idea of flowers with all their
different fragrances
and animals who would be your companions on this journey?
Do you notice how sunlight flickering across your view entices you,
calls you back to some special feeling
you can’t quite place your finger on?
For the sun and stars and planets too,
were all part of the joyful creation that came of
our Union and Divine Plan
to manifest a world for you to experience with all the senses
and all your heart’s desires of possibilities…
endless possibilities,
only limited by what you allow yourself to dream and accept into your experience.
Do you remember, My Child
the love we shared that went into this creation,
all for you?
Do you remember, My child
how much I love you so?
And thus devised a plan whereby your return was certain
so that you could play and create and explore
and yet with the safety and knowing
we would always be-forever-One.
And you could return at any moment
you fully relinquished the ego-mind,
the condition of the separated self.
Thus your memory of Our Union
would begin to reveal itself to you
and open your awareness
to hear My Voice once again,
~to remember~
you never really left
the care of My presence
and your true home in Union with Me.
Ahhh! The sweet bliss I share with you
As you return to Me
And remember!
